Short answer

Viducer is the best long-form AI video generator for finished YouTube videos: one voiceover becomes a fully edited, subtitled video, animated up to 60 minutes or a documentary cut from real footage. VidRush suits footage-led documentaries from a brief, autotube.pro and DreamTuber list the longest maximums, and Crreo is the cheapest way to start.

The best long-form AI video generator hands you a finished video, not a folder of clips to edit. We compared nine tools whose longest videos run from 15 minutes to several hours, using each company's own pages as listed in October 2026, and ranked them for one job: a long YouTube video you can upload as it is. We make Viducer, and it's our pick for that job; every other tool's numbers come from its own site, with sources at the end.

Which long-form AI video generator is best?

Viducer, for most YouTube creators: one voiceover in, one fully edited, subtitled video out, animated up to 60 minutes or a documentary cut from real footage. The others win narrower jobs.

How did we check these tools?

We read each company's own home and pricing pages on 6 and 7 October 2026 and took every number from there. This is a check of what each company states, not a hands-on test of every tool, and where a claim is the company's own and we couldn't confirm it, we say so.

  • The job: a finished long-form video you can upload to YouTube without rebuilding it.
  • What we compared: the longest single video on the plan you'd buy, what you put in (a topic, a script or your own voiceover), whether characters and style hold for the whole video, how you fix a scene after the render, the starting price and any free option.
  • What we left out: clip generators (more on those below), and tools whose pricing pages don't state a maximum length per video, including Mootion and Framesail when we checked.
  • Disclosure: we make Viducer.

1. Viducer: best for finished long-form YouTube videos

Viducer turns a recorded voiceover into a finished YouTube video in one of two studios. Animatica makes illustrated, animated-style videos in one of 11 looks, in a style copied from a YouTube link, or from up to four reference pictures of your own. Documentary cuts a 1080p film from real footage, archive photos, maps, headlines and captions, in ten looks.

A team of AI agents does the work. The Director plans your narration into chapters, characters and places. The Art director locks one style for the whole video. The Scene writer directs each shot to match the line being spoken, and for documentaries the Researcher searches and watches footage to find the right shot for each line. The Editor cuts everything to your voice, with subtitles timed to every word.

Before any scene is drawn, Animatica draws a reference picture of each main character and place and uses them in every scene, so the cast stays the same for the whole video. You approve the plan and the exact cost before anything is made, then fine-tune in a timeline editor.

  • Longest video: 60 minutes animated, in a single render (1-hour AI video generator); documentaries up to 30 minutes, depending on the plan (AI documentary generator).
  • Starts at: $49 a month.
  • Free option: none. A failed render refunds itself automatically.
  • Best for: creators who write and narrate their own videos and want a finished long video back, usually in about an hour.
  • Weak spot: you bring the voiceover, because Viducer doesn't write scripts or generate voices today. And scenes are drawn pictures cut to your narration, not moving animation.

2. VidRush: best for real-footage documentaries from a brief

VidRush describes itself as an AI long-form video generator. One brief goes in, and it researches, scripts, voices, sources footage and edits a publish-ready video. You choose where the footage comes from (public domain, licensed stock or the general web) and approve a plan before it runs.

  • Longest video: 60 minutes. Its own FAQ lists documentary and top 10 videos of 6 to 60 minutes, in English; some third-party listings still say 6 to 40.
  • Starts at (October 2026): $99 a month, for about 8 videos or 45 minutes of video.
  • Free option: none listed.
  • Best for: footage-led documentaries and top 10s on well-filmed subjects such as history, finance, true crime and science.
  • Weak spot: it needs footage to exist. VidRush says it's strongest where footage of the topic is online, so subjects with little filmed material, such as myths or "what if" stories, are a harder fit. Its FAQ also says it gets you about 80% of the way there, with its editor handling the rest.

How the two compare side by side: VidRush alternative.

3. autotube.pro: best for multi-hour sleep and history videos

autotube.pro turns a title into a researched script, a voiceover, timed visuals and a cloud render. It's built for long-form faceless channels, from sleep and relaxation to explainers and documentaries.

  • Longest video: 3 hours, with scripts up to 30,000 words on the entry plan.
  • Starts at (October 2026): $50 a month, which autotube estimates at 4 to 15 videos a month.
  • Free option: none advertised.
  • Best for: sleep and history channels that publish one- to three-hour videos.
  • Weak spot: very long videos use a plan up fast. By autotube's own pricing math, the entry plan covers about four 2-hour sleep documentaries a month.

4. Crreo: cheapest way to start

Crreo turns a topic or a script into a long-form video with AI visuals, voice and music, and lets you edit it with plain text prompts. Characters stay consistent, and photo-based characters start on the Grow plan.

  • Longest video: 30 minutes on the Ultra plan. Start caps each video at 10 minutes, and Grow and Pro at 15.
  • Starts at (October 2026): $14 a month, or $9 a month billed yearly.
  • Free option: a free plan for 30-second, watermarked, non-commercial videos, a 7-day trial on Grow and Pro, and a 14-day money-back guarantee.
  • Best for: new channels testing long-form on a small budget.
  • Weak spot: the 30-minute cap needs Ultra, at $79 a month or $45 billed yearly, and the entry plan exports in 720p.

5. MagicLight: best for story videos up to 50 minutes

MagicLight makes complete AI videos up to 50 minutes long from an idea, a script or a story, with story templates, consistent characters and mobile apps.

  • Longest video: 50 minutes, on every paid plan.
  • Starts at (October 2026): $7.50 a month billed yearly ($90), shown as 50% off a $15 list price.
  • Free option: a free plan with limited use and shorter videos, no card needed.
  • Best for: story channels, from children's stories to faith stories.
  • Weak spot: the low price is a yearly deal on sale, paid up front. We couldn't find a month-to-month price on its pricing page.

6. TubeGen: best all-in-one automation stack

TubeGen bundles niche research, scripts, voiceovers, visuals (images, animation, stock footage, avatars and consistent characters), thumbnails, music and an editor, and it can copy another channel's style.

  • Longest video: 30 minutes, exported from its editor.
  • Starts at (October 2026): $149 a month for the full Starter plan; single-tool suites start at $27.
  • Free option: none, and no refunds.
  • Best for: automation operators who want the script, voice, visuals and thumbnail in one subscription.
  • Weak spot: Starter includes 1 minute of motion animation per video and scripts of up to 3,000 words, about 20 minutes of narration at a normal pace.

How the two compare side by side: TubeGen alternative.

7. DreamTuber: longest stated maximum

DreamTuber takes a topic and writes the script, voices it with a natural or cloned voice, makes the scene visuals and renders the video with a YouTube title, description, chapters and thumbnail. It can publish to YouTube for you or hand you the file.

  • Longest video: 10 hours, the company says.
  • Starts at (October 2026): $20 a month, a founding price for its beta, enough for three 10-minute videos or one 30-minute video.
  • Free option: none stated. Failed renders are refunded automatically.
  • Best for: very long sleep, ambient and lore videos made from a topic.
  • Weak spot: a 10-hour video takes the $249 Pro plan, and its examples page shows other channels' videos as examples of the format without saying they were made with DreamTuber.

8. LongStories: best for a recurring cast and music videos

LongStories makes long AI story videos and music videos built around characters and "universes" that carry the same cast, voices and world from one episode to the next.

  • Longest video: 15 minutes on Creator Max ($199 a month) and above; 10 minutes on Pro and Creator.
  • Starts at (October 2026): $59 a month.
  • Free option: sign-up covers characters and scripts; making a video needs a paid plan.
  • Best for: kids', music and story series that reuse one cast.
  • Weak spot: 15 minutes is the ceiling, and the $59 plan stops at 10.

9. AITuber: best for Shorts-first creators

AITuber is a faceless video platform built around short videos and autopilot posting to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Threads and X. Long-form is one of its seven templates.

  • Longest video: 20 minutes.
  • Starts at (October 2026): $39 a month, or about $33 billed yearly.
  • Free option: a small free allowance, about one short video by AITuber's description, with no card.
  • Best for: creators who mostly post Shorts and want an occasional long video from the same tool.
  • Weak spot: long-form stops at 20 minutes, and AITuber sizes its entry plan in 30-second shorts.

Why aren't Sora, Veo, Runway or Grok on this list?

Because they make clips, not long videos. Each generation is seconds long, so an hour from 8-second clips means 450 generations you review, regenerate and cut together yourself, with characters and style drifting along the way.

They're excellent for a single striking shot, a cold open or b-roll. For a 20-, 30- or 60-minute video, use a tool that plans the whole video first, and bring a clip tool in only for the one shot that needs real motion. Our guide on how to make long AI videos covers the method and the stitching math.

How do you choose a long-form AI video generator?

Start with two questions: what do you put in, and how long are your videos? Those two answers rule out most of this list.

  • What you put in. If you write and record your own narration, pick a tool that builds the whole video from it; that's what Viducer is built for. If you'd rather the tool wrote and voiced the video from a topic, look at VidRush, autotube.pro, TubeGen or DreamTuber.
  • Footage or illustration. Footage tools need a well-filmed subject. Illustrated videos work for anything you can narrate, including myths and ancient history, where there's no footage of the events themselves.
  • Fixing one scene. In a long video you'll want to change scene 40 without rendering the hour again. Check for a timeline editor and a way to redo a single scene.
  • Cost per finished minute. Compare what each entry plan makes in a month, not the sticker price: about 45 minutes on VidRush's Starter, one 30-minute video on DreamTuber's and 60 minutes on TubeGen's, by each company's own figures. Viducer shows the exact cost of each video before anything is made.
  • A way to try. Crreo has a free plan, a trial and a 14-day money-back guarantee; TubeGen offers no refunds.

Make it in Viducer

If you run a faceless channel and already narrate your videos, this is the shortest path from a recording to a finished long-form video:

  1. Upload your voiceover. Your own voice, a hired narrator or an AI voice from any text-to-speech tool, as MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, OGG, MP4 or WebM up to 50 MB. Transcription is free.
  2. Pick a studio and a look. Animatica draws scenes in one of 11 looks (Whiteboard Doodle, Epic Comic, Chunky Cartoon, Napkin Sketch, Painted Stage, Cinematic Illustration, Rough Doodle, Deadpan Vector, Field Guide, Cutaway or Soft Crayon), in a style you copy from a YouTube video, or from your own reference pictures. Documentary cuts your film from real footage.
  3. Approve the plan. Check the chapters and the reference pictures of your main characters and places, choose the pace (Fast, Medium or Slow), and approve the exact cost before anything is drawn.
  4. Close the tab. Production runs on our servers, so nothing depends on your browser staying open.
  5. Edit and export. Retime scenes, style captions, and add music and sound effects in the timeline editor. Exports and downloads are free.

Viducer is a long-form AI video generator for YouTube. It makes fully edited, subtitled videos, usually in about an hour: animated videos up to 60 minutes long in 11 looks, or documentaries built from real footage. Plans start at $49 a month.

Questions

What is the best AI for long videos?

For finished long-form YouTube videos, Viducer: it turns one voiceover into a fully edited, subtitled video, animated up to 60 minutes or a documentary from real footage. If you want the tool to write the script as well, look at VidRush or autotube.pro.

Which AI video generator makes the longest videos?

Among the tools we checked, DreamTuber lists the longest maximum at 10 hours and autotube.pro lists 3 hours, as stated on their own sites in October 2026. Viducer makes animated videos up to 60 minutes long in a single render.

Is there a free long-form AI video generator?

Not for full-length videos. Crreo and MagicLight have free plans and AITuber gives a small free allowance, but free videos are short or limited (Crreo's stop at 30 seconds), and every tool on this list needs a paid plan for long videos.

Can AI make a 1-hour YouTube video?

Yes. Viducer makes a single animated video up to 60 minutes long from one voiceover, and DreamTuber and autotube.pro list longer maximums. With a clip generator like Sora or Veo, an hour means joining hundreds of short clips by hand.

Are Sora and Veo long-form AI video generators?

No. They make short clips, which suit single shots and b-roll; a long video from them means generating and editing hundreds of clips yourself.

What should you look for in a long-form AI video generator?

Check four things: the longest video on the plan you would buy, what it takes as input (a topic, a script or your own voiceover), whether characters and style stay consistent for the whole video, and whether you can fix one scene without redoing the rest.
